I personally use windows 8.1, windows 10 has a severe lack of privacy, and windows 7 is unfortunately getting a bit outdated, and has some bugs that I doubt will be fixed :/

So my opinion: Windows 8.1.

I know more than plenty about building PCs, I'm sure I could offer some decent advice.

What's your budget? intended usage? preferences? and what's your current list?

Thanks for the useless links?

You didn't even look at them did you?

Microsoft has admitted that windows 10 does spy on its users, they've also admitted to automatically installing windows 10 on some windows 7 and 8/8.1 machines, they've also said that the spying done by windows 10 cannot be stopped by the user as it's baked into the OS.

So yes, it has been proven that microsoft is spying on windows 10 users.

yes I did one brought my to a home page the other eventually worked assumed it was broken too.

prove to me the data is sensitive, they haven't admitted to spying they are admitting to collecting telemetry data which as I said pretty much every software imaginable does already

OKay so i'm build a Gaming PC for myself. I'm on a $1300 just for the tower and around $400-500 on a Monitor and keyboard/ mouse

I'm going to be use it for gaming & recording/ and or live stream at the same time.I will be editing video because i want to start a YouTube channel (gaming/ funny videos). Then i'm getting interested in programming so maybe that might help.

Here is my list

CPU: Intel Core i5-6600k

CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO

Motherboard: Asus Z170 Pro Gaming

RAM: Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4

Memory: Samsung 850 PRO 128GB 2.5

Memory: WD Blue 1TB

GPU: Sapphire Radeon NITRO R9 390

PCU: EVGA SuperNOVA 750 80+ Bronze

DVD: DVD SATA SUPERMULTI Burner

Case: Rosewill Blackhack

I think that is all i might have forgotten something

Don't get the 850 pro, get the 850 evo instead.

And it's called storage, not memory..

Other than that, it looks alright.

It's had a few performance issues and such from what I've heard, whereas the 850 evo has not. (I've got an 850 evo and can confirm that it works amazing)
