What are some essential Android apps that you must have?

Other than Google Services/Products, Facebook and or Twitter. Optionally Tumblr, Pintrest, and Instagram. Whatever else you install is up to you.

If it's not running stock Android maybe get the Google Now launcher.

something to take notes, a QR scanner, some people like to have a filesystem manager on hand, maybe some games, youtube & twitch if you're into that.

 

i also have an SSH client, a VNC client, teamviewer, ookla speedtest, puush, an IRC client and an app that can connect to SSH enabled servers to monitor resource usage.

 

if you use your phone as a media device a lot, consider maybe getting kodi. or if you have a kodi based media center in the house, the official kodi remote.

MoboPlayer is a really good video player which plays pretty much any video file type.

Feedly and Imgur's mobile app, probably the most used apps on my phone, especially Feedly. I also use Soundcloud and Spotify a lot.
