i5 2320 still good for games now? or should i upgrade?

so playing the modern games like GTA V and MGS V and all other triple A games, my 2320 is still decent. i need to get 2x4 mem sticks and upgrade to an SSD. should i get win 10 aswell or not yet?

Windows 8.1 is the sweetspot for me currently - 10 is far too unstable at the moment.

SSD will make the PC a lot more snappy and responsive

Your CPU should be fine - upgrade when you see it @ 100% usage before the GPU gets to 100% usage.

my specs now
i5 2320
4g ram
500gb storage
gtx 970

should i upgrade procie or should i upgrade the others first?

At higher resolutions the CPU is less and less important - the GPU is going to be the limiting factor. Test and see mate :)

you need 4 gb of ram now, as for the CPU it depends on what games you play. For most games and general use i say yes.

Exceptions being singlethreaded games like MMO's, or having a 144hz monitor, in which case i would go for a 4670k/6600k

I'd suggest 4690K for the bettet TIM or, like you said, the 6600K

I'd suggest 4690K for the bettet TIM or, like you said, the 6600K

2x4 is optimal for use of Dual channel

TIM is Thermal Interface material - the thing under the CPU heatspreader and above the core crystal.

Not exactly - the 2320 is nowhere near the 2500K - it's performance out of the box is essentially the same as the A10 7850K (Athlon X4 860K) - here's a benchmark to showcase

760K is quite a bit weaker than the 860K - major upgrades to the IPC have been made in Kaveri - find a bench using that CPU :P

Windows 8.1 is the sweetspot for me currently - 10 is far too unstable at the moment.

SSD will make the PC a lot more snappy and responsive

Your CPU should be fine - upgrade when you see it @ 100% usage before the GPU gets to 100% usage.

do you have a recommendation on a cheap SSD that is good?
