Windows 10

Panzer003

So, for you guys who have Windows 10, what do you think about it and/or like about it? I have it myself and love it, I was just wondering what other people thought about it.

The Start menu still sucks, downloaded Start is Back and it's OK now. Wish I could have windows 7 UI and windows 10 under the hood improvements.

I don't think privacy is an issue at all and people are blowing it up.

I love the start menu, i like anything about windows 10 so far

I love the start menu too, I like the live tiles, it's like my phone in the start menu haha.

I have really liked it. The Start menu is great and the improvements from Windows 8.1 are also great.

Most people that say Windows 10 is terrible just like to join the hate bandwagon for every new OS release.

Also people are being a bit too tin foil hat regarding the privacy issues.

... I was just wondering what other people thought about it.

How to explain it without cursing... Win 10 is piece of shit, garbage, etc... In fact MS must pay me at least $10 000 every month to use that shit for a daily driver now... For under a week use of Win 10 I found so many faults and security holes that they can't repair in next 2 years... And don't even mentioning privacy issues- that's another, even worse part of problems...

It's gonna be like Win 8- starting with fucking crap, slowly move to almost normally usable OS with 8.1 latest updates (after 2+ years) and everything is shutdown because new  OS arrived...

English is not my maternal language, so don't mind my mistakes...

Meh. I just enjoy the new performance improvements. I don't understand why people are so hyped about it. It is nice to experience a new UI though.

Got some compatability issues but apart from that its fine.

The cursor in the steam overlay gets stuck in the middle and readycache doesnt work anymore.

Runs very well for me. I feel like a minority on this one, but I actually like the Start menu. I also like the Task view except for the fact that you can't have it to behave like OS X's Mission Control and you have to click a window to activate it.

I've no serious complaints about it other than that it sometimes takes some time between entering my password on the login screen and showing the desktop (from a cold boot).

Start menu is ok. I usually turn of all the live tiles, the recent and pinned software and enable all of the preset shortcuts, then make the menu as small as possible. The main issue is the crap search.

Oh, and all programs too. Takes up twice as much room per item as the old menu, so on the smallest size you hardly see anything. But i'd really like the option to disable that item since i'd rather just use search instead.

Have installed it on 4 different systems now. All of them had noticeable performance improvements. 3 were clean installs, one was an upgrade. UI navigation has improved as well. Just check any older games you might have for possible compatibility issues. Also check your hardware manufacturers for updated drivers, some MFG's haven't updated older hardware drivers yet.

What is so bad about the new start menu? What is so different about "Start is Back" that makes it better?

I'd like to hear these "security holes" you found. That is very interesting.

Why not make things like power shell, command prompt, system config, control panel or ANY individual setting, program, folder or a few other things as Tile.

1) As @TheCMan said which "security holes" are these? I think we need to know this

2) Microsoft won't pay you $120,000/pa, why would they?

3) if you haven't had it for more than a month, you can go back to whatever OS you were using before if you go to: Control Panel/Settings - Recovery and BOOM!

Let start backwards...

3: Do I look like 10-year old kid? And who told you that I'm using 10 atm? I was an "Insider", I upgrade from 7 Ultimate to 10 Pro 2 hours after releasing, 2 days later make an fresh install and later I return to 7 Ultimate...

2: MS won't pay me- I won't use Win 10. Why would they- because atm Win 10 is big, smelly shit.

1: Every new OS has security faults, Win 10 is no exception. Neither 7 or 8 was perfect on start... And I never start using new OS for a daily driver in first year after release- I leave this "pleasure" to bunch of deluded sheeps...

I bet than you don't like the answer- I don't care... I'm tired to explain where are the problems in Win 10 to a people that don't care about privacy issues and complain only from bad drivers (which is normal for a new OS) and some visual things...

English is not my maternal language, so don't mind my mistakes...
