Computer Restarting

NickB417

Whenever I try and play any games my computer just restarts. I have a Evga supernova 750W 80+ bronze which i bought 6 months ago. I looked in the bios and it said my cpu (intel i5 4690k) was 60c. I use the stock intel cooler and my cpu isn't overclocked at all so i was wondering if you guys think its a power supply problem or a cpu temp problem

What GPU do you have? This sounds like a gpu problem.

60c is not that much for a 4690k so might be something else than the CPU

| GPU: MSI GTX 970 | CPU: Intel i5 4460 | PSU: Sharkoon 500Watt 80-plus semi-modular | RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws 1600 2x4GB |

Did the 970 function properly before? Or did this problem just start recently?

Could be? But then the processor should not function correctly outside of games right?

Depends. Maybe you need a different cooler but even then that still doesn't make sense.

We need some more information regarding when it started happening etc.

If it worked fine before and suddenly you're having difficulties it could be a driver issue.

If you want to make sure it's not the gpu you could remove it and try running a game on internal graphics which would show what the problem is.
