Need good Free protection/security software

Does anybody know of good, free software I can install on my windows 8.1 pc to protect from viruses, malware, etc?

WINDOWS defender

and MBAM

Both free

run MBAM once a week.

 

and your golden.

yeh windows defender actually isnt a pain

So windows Defender and MBAM will be good enough?

unless your trying to get a virus then yes.

+chrome (and firefox) is good as well.
