I believe Linus made a video on LED mod, you may be able to do something with this, Perhaps wait till someone more experienced with LED and modding comes along?

could try something like this?

Purchasing some USB powered ones would be easiest but if you want to mod it you can run a power cable outside of the case to power the LED's but it depends on the type you have of they are single colored it's just a matter to booking them up but if the RgB they require a controller to go between colors.

I have a write up that goes over this under Wiring:

well the thing is, these are motorcycle LED strips, i think, because i found them in a motorcycle store.

these run at 12v and is only one color, red, so i dont think i need a controller. i just need it to turn on with my computer. :)))

It's not too hard to wire it up as long as you can find a spot to router some wires to the outside of the case and hook it up to a molex or sata connector since it just needs 12V power.

Jerryrig a molex plug onto the power cable. The right wires can supply the 12v and all the wires can do 5A which will be plenty for your led's and it doesn't matter if you have too much amperage. Just make sure you use the 12v and not the 5v cables
