I am a super novice with not much free time and not the smartest dude. I don't want to screw up building a pc and if it's too hard or complicated, I dont know if I want to.

Looks fine. If you don't want to build it yourself, get a pre-built or a *shudder"* off the shelf unit. League is about as demanding as a wet puppy.

Is there a specific reason your using that CPU Cooler or just becasue it was cheap?

 

you might want to look at somthing that can disperse a little more heat then that.   Like a Cooler Master hyper 212, its pretty cheap too

this is as cheap as it gets. You cant go under that price. (i would suggest an EVGA gtx 750ti SC or a Sap R7 260)

I have at least one old Dell computer from a few years ago. I have no idea how to identify the parts and see if anything is usable. Any advice?

750Ti or 960 is better for that CPU... (due to possible driver caused issues in some games and AMD GPUs are not good with weak CPUs...)

I don't think the 860k is weak. Considering that the FX series can handle a 270/280, and the 860k has better single core performance, pretty sure it should do fine.

Isn't the g3258 haswell refresh? Thought H81 wasn't compatible with haswell refresh outta box?

260X is probably fine but I would be careful with better GPUs.

The 860k has better single core performance. Im just going to say it's probably a little safer with a 280x than an FX. With overclocking, 290.

In some games yes in others no.

Yes the g3258 Is haswell refresh, but u can put it in h81,h87,z87,z97,h97,b85 without any problem after a bios update

and overclock it
