Start Menu Apps Layout save location (Windows 10)

hi,

after upgrading my pc from win7 to 10, i realised that a lot of apps had compatibility issues an/or were poorly adjusted. So i decided to do a fresh install (i also wanted to convert my ssd to gpt so i can use UEFI). But i had this awesome Start menu arrangement thing goint hat took me like half an hour and id like to have it back. I did make a system image backup and a file backup of my C: drive, so i still have all the files (Windows 10 lets you mount Virtual HDs by doubleclicking them, yay).

 

Does anyone know where the Start menu layout is saved? is it even a location or is it in the registry...

try start menu folder and un hide hidden file/folders

nope, nothing, just a folder named Programs and the IKB desktop.ini file.

 

also im not talking about the start menu programs, but the win8 style apps to the right side
