That moment when VGA through CRT >>> HDMI HDTV

kipper

This is a comparison, ok not the best... but still a comparison..

Dreamcast running Resident Evil 2 at 800x600 at 60FPS vs PS3 running PSN RE2 upscaled to 1080p from ????x???? PSX resolution at 30FPS.

So PS3...

Dreamcast...

And you cannot beat those deep blacks.. CRT hands down murders HDTV LOL.

Don't forget instant response time and practically no input lag

The only real reason they were abandoned is since they just took up way too much room.

The great thing about CRT's is that they are dirt cheap too (well, most of them).

I own one for my 64, an I love the thing to death.

What about plasmas? I love the image quality on a (good) plasma. I had one from 2003 and it was a professional grade unit (digital signage, although ironically, it had no digital inputs lol) and even though it wasnt even 720p, the clairity was stunning.

Never owned a Plasma so i cannot give any input :/

BTW the CRT video is not showing the clarity very well, it's hard on the camera due to the flickering :(
