Build for my YouTuber friend

Hello, my friend is a popular youtuber and he needs not only a build capable of gaming @ 1080p, but also a better rig than his current laptop for video editing and rendering.  I have quickly thrown together this list of parts for him since he isn't all that tech-savvy, but I am open to criticism and/or possible improvements.  His budget is $2k, but would rather not spend that entire amount.

He will need more than 650w for that setup, especially if he's going to be overclocking his cpu and gpu. i would go with 850w and something rated highly by jonny guru

u never awnsered my question

who is he??

Probably someone with 1k subs and calls himself "famous". A "famous" youtuber would probably make a build himself or find professional people to help...

Enough for his games that he records, so GTA V, GTA IV, Wreckfest and a few others.

it's a 250watt card. with like a 120-130watt CPU... and when you need reliablity you're probably not going to be pushing CPU's and GPU's to the limit. it's enough.

he should be able to game at 1440p with this setup below. 1080p gaming is a waste to build for, especially with a 2k budget. no point. might as well play 1440p.

i'm assuming he will want to overclock his cpu and gpu so i've added a larger power supply at 850 watts. the psu is something that shouldn't be skimped on. i used the following website to determine power draw:

http://www.extreme.outervision.com/PSUEngine

The 5820K should be just fine for gaming and workstation use (rendering, etc.). I've added a 5TB HDD for storage as he will have lots of games and video files.

MSI MOBO's do a great job in terms of overclocking.

the 5820k will be a much better cpu for what he is using the pc for. 980 is not enough. a 980 ti is better. he doesn't need a 500gb ssd. mobo is too expensive for he needs it for. better deals with msi for x99.

maybe gpu rendering is faster than cpu rendering for videos. i'm not sure. either way, that is another option for him to explore. i removed the x99 platform and replaced it with 1150. titan x has more video memory.

Thank you for everyone's contributions, I have edited the build to better reflect some of your guys suggestions and I decided to push the budget.  I replaced the 970 with a 980ti, reduced ssd capacity and lowered the wattage of the psu because I sincerely doubt he's going to overclock.  Like I stated earlier, he isn't tech-savvy.
