Gtx TITAN x Battlefield 4 Fps drop probleM?

DarKbetrayed

You're going to get FPS drops with everything, if I get what you're saying. It depends on the settings you're on etcetera, but if you're getting FPS drops with a Titan X you're either in a very detailed scene or you're getting bottlenecking somewhere.

Sig under construction.

I think he meant Battlefield 4.

Can you give us some more information about your system? BF4 multiplayer does lean quite heavily on your CPU, and if you don't have at least a Core i5 from the last generation or two, that's going to show up in your minimum FPS regardless of your Titan X.

What settings are you using? If you have your AA and MSAA up to ridiculous numbers you're going to get frame drops no matter what card(s) you use.

Intel I9-9900k (5Ghz) Asus ROG Maximus XI Formula | Corsair Vengeance 16GB DDR4-4133mhz | ASUS ROG Strix 2080Ti | EVGA Supernova G2 1050w 80+Gold | Samsung 950 Pro M.2 (512GB) + (1TB) | Full EK custom water loop |IN-WIN S-Frame (No. 263/500)

144 FPS for any card, even flagship is going to have dips, 100-120fps sounds about right, If you dont like seeing dips  ook into a Gsync monitor

Yeah im dumb

brb jumping off a bridge

But yeah even a titan x is not going to run BF4 at 144hz FPS consistently with no drops

As beefy as your CPU is, I think that's still the reason. Honestly, I'm not entirely sure this game is optimized to the point where anyone can really expect to reach 144 FPS with no drops whatsoever. It certainly doesn't run like CS:GO.

An upgrade to X99 might help, but still might not make up a 44 FPS difference. I personally don't think it's worth it.
