will this card "Gigabyte Radeon R9 270X 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card" be able to do 1080p? if not, then maybe 720p?  i know everyone says get the best card you can possibly get right now, but getting this card for now seems like it will do fine.  When i upgrade the pc, im going to a G1 980 by gigabyte. 

 

If this seems a bit confusing, sorry,  dont really know how else to word it

The 270x is fine for 1080p. If you're getting a 980, you should definitely be playing at a higher res--at least 1440p.

270x is fine for 1080p. Not the best, but fine. Maybe you'll be able to use it till new generation of NVIDIA or AMD cards?

I was close to buying this but not with its price increase.  It was $140 2 years ago and now it's about $170.  Hell no.
