I was wondering, which is the best FREE antivirus on the market?I am not a programmer,but i want to judge by its code.Can anybody help??

windows defender for windows 8, avast, avg, avira. I prefer windows defender because I don't like all those ads and screamers other anti-virus programs have.

I use MSE + Malwarebytes free, the combination of the two is quite good. 
My outdated commonsense 2014 is still quite adequate too.

To everyone saying Malwarebytes is an antivirus, Malwarebytes is not an antivirus program!! It is an antimalware program! Learn the difference people. Linus made a great video about it.

To the OP: The best antivirus IMO is Avast!, and if you pair it with Malwarebytes then you should be sitting pretty.

Windows Defender is pretty weak.

 

Avira would be my pick, but Avast isn't bad either. Here's a little round-up.

 

it works well in combination to malwarebytes. And a bit of common sense.
