840 evo slow startup after format

oogawooga

Hi recently i just formatted my pc and i've noticed how much slower the bootup is. it typically gets stuck on the network login with it spinning. after it finishes spinning the rest of my icons load up, what is wrong?

840 evo has performance issues bcus the firmware is bad.

No fix yet, but samsung is working on it.

Install samsung magician and update firmware, could help.

you need to download the firmware seperatly, it cant be downloaded on the samsung magician software http://www.samsung.com/global/business/semiconductor/minisite/SSD/us/html/support/downloads.html

What's the results from the benchmark from Magician?

Try the Performance Optimization option. Only do it once.

secure erase the drive. That usually always restores performance.
