Favourite Tech Apps/Tweaks on your mobile device?

Favourite Tech Apps/Tweaks on your mobile device?

Hey guys so just thought it would be interesting, to see what apps or tweaks you use the most on your devices the idea is to share, mainly the ones that make your mobile device life simple or your device just easier to use.

The rules are simple

1.Post the name or names of the best apps or tweaks you use regular please include the device you're currently using and its ROM, IOS, or OS.

2.The apps must be tech related in some form, for example you could not say "My favourite app is Facebook" so basically the most useful tech app or tweak you use, not social media, unless this app/tweak, makes your social media experience better.

3. Do not turn this thread into a device or OS war it does not matter if IOS or Android is better, that is not what this thread is about.

4.Please respect each other, and follow all LTT Rules.

Now the rules are out of the way thanks and i hope we all find something helpful in this thread.

i am currently on IOS 7 on an iPhone 4s Jailbroken here is a list of my Favourites.

Cydia Tweaks

Accelerate  (Speeds up animations)

Activator  (Kind of like short keys for IOS i think it has other features too)

Applocker  (Password protects apps)

Battery percentage Only  (Removes Battery percentage symbol)

Battery Manager  (Tells you when its safe to stop charging to preserve your battery)

BDaySpotify  (Fave of mine too, Unlimited skips on free spotify, and no ads)

Browser changer (Changes browser so clicking link does not take you to safari)

Five icon dock  (Five icons on your dock instead of Four)

FlipControlCenter (lets you change control centre icons)

FolderCloser (A favourite automatically closes folders after use)

Forecast  (Displays weather on lock screen)

Gridlock  (lets you rearrange your icons to where you want them, OCD people)

Hidden settings (Reveals Hidden springboard dettings)

iCleaner (like CCleaner)

iFile (Lets you view Files on your Iphone)

Lockdown pro (Password Protects apps)

MultitaskingGestures (Cannot live without)

NCSingleTapClear (Click "X" once to remove all notifications)

PasswordPilot (Autofills Password when installing app)

SwipeSelection (Also a Fave, Keyboard swipes move cursor)

Zeppelin (Customization of Carrier text)

Sicarius (Lets you quit all apps also allows exceptions)

Please note all are typed as seen on Cydia and i am on IOS 7.0.4

For Android(LG G3): Flashify;BuildPropEditor;G3 TweaksBox;Root Checker Basic; WiFi Password

For iOS 7.1.1(iPhone 4S): Activator;Hidden Settings7;SwipeSelection(it's a life saver for me); CCToggles;DockShift;Lockscreen Tool; TransparentVolume and of course, Zeppelin

It's not a bug, it's an undocumented feature!

Nice thread, hoping for some nice iOS ones :)

Hmm, only one i can think of is the Steam app, lets you buy and download remotely - a real wallet killer.

Bleigh!  Ever hear of AC series?

Thnaks for sharing though!  :) I'm afraid not though! I dont really like tinkering with my phone, its the reason I like iOS, its nice and regular, predictable and well supported apps.

Although maybe i'll have to look into it ;)

Yeah apps like that seem few and far between.

I am not afraid to tinker with IPhones they restore no matter what you do to them really, i was afraid when i changed my ROM on my old android though

There is one app i have been looking at just never tried it is Chrome Remote Desktop, lets you access your desktop remotely from your phone, its in app store i may give it go see if it is any fun.  :)

Same here,my dad and I have been changing roms on android phones for years now(since Eclair and Froyo years) and I have soft bricked 2 phones, my old Find 5(last summer) and my dad's M7(last night) and fixed them both though... Only phone that has genuinely died was my mom's old X10 Mini which had a custom rom on it and "suddenly went into recovery mode" and could not be fixed, therefore bricked. Also, the only problem my old 4S ever had(not the current 4S which I just got last night for dirt cheap) was when one morning, I got a banner type notification I could not get rid of, therefore my phone was unusable so I had to restore via iTunes and update to 6.1.3 from jailbroken 6.1.2, which was also the day I found out the back of the device was cracked even though it was in a silicone case and the night before it wasn't cracked

okay so i am using it now lets just say it is not terrible, but mouse control, is not easy on a phone, i think is is more designed for Ipad. (took me a while to type this) Also i have to keep looking up at my pc screen, easy to set up though if you have a google account.

it is also showing exactly what is happening on my computer so i guess i could leave the room, and still be on my desktop, only couple issues, there are no arrow keys on a phone, and also i cannot figure out how to right click lol

Yep in my honest opinion i think android is for people who like to tinker about a bit, and IOS are for people who have no time to tinker about and just want to get on with there life lol.

lets just say the ROM i had was cynageon mod 7 at least it think it was spelt that way and installing that on a ZTE blade a couple of years ago was scary stuff haha  ;)

Edit: also a 6 digit pin is required before the remote access can begin, and on your desktop you have a box saying stop sharing so you can terminate the connection at any point you want, either by desktop or the phone/ipad

Yes i will be honest its cool seeing my desktop on my phone but only time i will use it is probably if i am watching something live and i do not want to miss it haha.

But yea it not as bad as it seems you can turn mouse control on/off so that you can move screen around instead of mouse cursor, i am sure if i had the time to learn it i could get used to it but i really do not think many people will want to lol

Could be handy for streaming or something. Or maybe if a friend wants to look at a game from another room as you play?

Again, there are probably better methods.

Lol that sounds really odd way of doing things.

Yeah, I remember Cyanogenmod 7, my dad and I both had it on our HTC Wildfire's(bought 2 on the same day, second hand though, I remember mine was white and had a shitty launcher(was my second ever android phone) and his was brown) also it was hard as fuck to S-OFF an HTC device, didn't change now either... also I remember it was easier to flash a rom back then, you just wiped data and cache and then install from sd card with CWM recovery, that was before I discovered how to use ADB commands and Fastboot mode :D good old days

This is what i was thinking, but there are alredy good steaming apps to watch live on mobile like twitch.

However i was thinking of it in the opposite of you maybe spy on a friend that thinks their alone on your desktop, see what they get up to things are always more fun when its not on your desktop, i bet they would be going to town on it haha.

could even mess with them a bit i guess if you wanted haha :P

lol back in the good old days indeed put ROM on SD and just install pretty much haha, but there was always that what if at the back of your mind, thinking please do not brick my phone haha.

That is only reason i changed to iPhone, then when i realised about jail breaking, i was happy it was like Aladdin "A whole new world" i optimized my iPhone the best i could with tweaks and now i am happy again  :)

Yes exactly its not reaching the potential it wants to, however i did use it one a IPhone 4s one of the smallest screens lol, i think it would be better tested on a ipad or could even be good on a iphone 6

Yeah, for like 3-4 years I never backed up before wiping&flashing lol, since I got my Find 5 last year(don't have it anymore), I always back up :))
