Yea gaming is fine.

Try updating chrome via ninite.com, try reinstalling drivers and enabling/disabling GPU hardware acceleration in the settings.

You could try the latest non-beta version as well but try my suggestions first

I've seen the squirrelly screen of death a number of times in past years when trying to watch youtube, mostly with Nvidia fermi, but I saw it a few times with kepler and tahiti GPU's as well. try a different driver, or adjust video quality settings in the catalyst control center.

Chrome and drivers are a pretty fresh install, i will try disabling hardware acceleration and see if that helps, although it will be tough to see if it helps as it seems to happen quite randomly.

Just change the setting and keep it for a while. If it does not happen at least once in about 2-3 days then you could consider it fixed.

Had the same issue. Is it overclocked? If so lower memory clock, if not still lower memory clock.
