Here you can see the super cheap pump I grabbed on Ebay

Mom Interior View Pump

I've had one of those pumps before running 24/7 for about 1 1/2 years, so I'm actually decently

confident of this one, hope it doesn't prove me wrong. I also have a few safeguards set up in case

of failure too, if the pump rpm gets lower than 2500rpm the computer auto shuts off.

I wouldn't want a super ghetto pump cooling anything...

IF it fails, your computer could try to kill its self.

When*

Every pump will fail eventually. That is especially true for crap pumps.

Awesome. But my question is why? That's so old and not worth doing water cooling on. :D

Because REASONS.

As it states in the initial post.

Truthfully its because I just wanted another project to play around with when I wasn't working on my bigger ones.

I had the parts to do it, so I pretty much figured why the hell not.

Oh, it was one of those BECAUSE I CAN. :D

Cool man, fun project indeed. Spare parts well used. BTW how much would a water cooling loop cost? Not a high end one but a decent one. I can't find any here but I can order them from Germany so I was wondering if it's worth it?

Well considering this is technically a full watercooling loop, about $250 if you are a good bargain hunter. With an actual good pump this build would cost about $350CAD. But realistically what is in your system is what matters, and what components you want to cool. Just a CPU loop could be only $250 even with a good pump. Overall watercooling is something you should really only do if you are passionate about it, and are ready to put the time and funds into a project.

To put it into a bit of persective, I've put about $1200 into JUST the watercooling in my main tower, and about $700 in my secondary.

My mom is totally fine with it, she knows I love toying with PC's, and when I threw that 450 in there for her, leapmotion games ran like 5X smoother then the onboard graphics, so she's happy.
