Absolutely atrocious stutters while playing roblox

Sanedish

When i launch Roblox it will take about 2 to 20 minutes to load a game, run fine for a few minutes and then freeze for at least 10 minutes, then work for 1 frame, lag, 1 frame, lag, 1 frame and then i usually close it.

My specs are:

RTX 3080

Ryzen 9 5950X

32GB RAM

Gigabit lan

B550 E motherboard

have you tested if other games run fine?

if it's only roblox, you might want to do whatever the roblox equivalent of steam's "verify game data" is.

would a complete re-install be too lengthy or demanding?

Well, if you'd think about it... then you'd come to the conclusion i probably already did that... About 5 times.

No, but seriously, I have done the windows uninstall and a complete file wipe a few times already with no effect.

Deleting every file associated with roblox including add ons like rbx fps unlocker and re installing it

Installing it via the ms appstore and running a file check helped though

have you tried not installing it through MS store but rather from their website instead?

did you try looking at other things, CPU temps, GPU temps, googling Roblox stuttering on good PC and seeing if anyone had similar issue and solved it?

It is literally only roblox on an fully functioning system that runs everything non roblox i throw at it just fine with no stutter. and no, im the only one so far with that kind of issue. You will find slight lagging, but thats it.

Also: the problem persists with 2 15 second lag spikes every 2 minutes or so [8+1 sec normal+8sec or 15 secs and gone for 2 minutes] now, and let me tell you it is fucking annoying if youre in any shooters

and I assume fiddling with settings doesn't help either? I noticed lot of problems with high end builds stuttering on Roblox when I googled it..

Like i said stutters are normal, but those are just straight up timed lag spikes of up to 15 seconds

And i noticed they strangely vanish when i record with obs

so just record with OBS while playing Roblox, perhaps that will solve it

weird though, would it be possible that Roblox is using iGPU instead of GPU?

idk then, like I'd see if you could monitor as much as possible what's going on while playing Roblox, and seeing any odd behaviour when Roblox is played

Yes and we are looping now. If it only happens with in roblox and goes away with obs running it is very unlikely to be a drive or driver issue but rather with roblox.

anyways, it runs now, so i call it a day.
