Budget (including currency): Around $1,000 AUD

Country: Australia

Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Literally any game I want to play while running Discord, Youtube

Other details (existing parts lists, whether any peripherals are needed, what you're upgrading from, when you're going to buy, what resolution and refresh rate you want to play at, etc): Buying from Centrecom

CPU - 5 5600G

Motherboard - B550-A PRO

GPU - RX 6600 V2

RAM - G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB (2x8GB)

SSD - Kingston SNV2S

PSU - GP-P650G 650W 80+Gold

Case - Antec AX61

And a monitor

Hey everyone, this is my first time building a PC for gaming and I don't know if these components are good together and if they fit. Also can you suggest other components as you see fit? I don't really understand all this PC requirements and specifications. I am also new to PC gaming so I would also like tips on about everything related to PC gaming, thanks. Also I think there are 4 pre-installed fans on the case and a Wraith Stealth cooler with the CPU. I haven't chosen a monitor yet and I want a 1080p 144 Hz monitor.

edit: I also want to go with air cooling and not liquid cooling

Literally no need for a APU if you have a dGPU anyway, here is the best I could configure for gaming for that price:

I would go for 2, just do not go with the b550m because 7600x doesn't fit in AM4 socket. Go with a B650M PG RIPTIDE motherboard instead + whatever 16GB DDR5 kit you want.
