i forgot my admin's AC password

1832vin

i use windows 7, and i recently changed my password before i went on my vacation, so i changed my "admin"(the name) account's password, so that any family members cannot install anything on my laptop while i'm gone.

so now i'm back, and i logged into my normal account(the one without administrative rights), and i wanna open cmd as admin, and i can't find the right password....

didn't wrote it down, and setted no hints(my family members know me well)

so... any hacks that can recover my admin's password?

if not, i have to reinstall my OS and i have ALOT of programs installed

http://ophcrack.sourceforge.net/ Burn the live CD, follow the instructions and should crack it for you and recover the pass.

there are various tools that will search the Microsoft SAM database for your account password and remove it for you. But as long as you know this will destroy any certificates and your access to any current encrypted files that you may have... I have also heard of it messing up with peoples outlook. I used to use the TRK disk (ophcrack tool).

Use a windows dart bootable it allows you to change the password without having to wait for a crack to find it.
