Google and Lenovo announced today that the $2.9 billion acquisition of Motorola Mobility has been completed. Starting today, Motorola, the pioneer of mobile phones and one of the most iconic brands in consumer electronics, is a fully owned subsidiary of Lenovo.

Rich Osterloh will continue to lead Motorola as President and CEO, and the company will keep its Chicago headquarters.

Am I the only one a bit sad about this? I hold nothing against Lenovo, but I am not to keen on accepting this change. Motorola and Google was a great thing. I guess the best thing to do is wait and see.

its old news dude. (FYI article says transaction is complete,which means Motorola now fully owned by Lenovo)

Hmm. I would still leave this here. This is now a final/official announcement, but if the mods feel the need to take it down then that is fine.
