Painting Case Fans

I'm going to be getting a Noctua NH-14s. BUT THE FANS ARE HIDEOUS TO LOOK AT. Would it be wise to paint the fans black? If so, any recommended methods. I won't be painting the heatsink.

I think you can remove the fan blades. Just get spray paint for plastics and give 'em a few light coats until desired.

You could get something from bequiet instead, it already has black fans + black heatsink, it will perform very very similar.

Painting fans is difficult to get right, and so is dying from what I've seen.

If you do this, you break the oil seal, once this is broken, the fans won't last long.
