New Build, looking for tips and opinions

Hello guys, i am planning to get a new pc so i decided to make this topic to get some tips and opinions.

 

This is what i've got so far:

 

 

CPU:  Intel Core i5 4690K

MOBO:  Asus Z97-C

GPU:  Asus R9 280X
PSU:  Corsair CX750M

Case:  CM 690 III (windowed)

RAM:  Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 16GB

HDD:  WD Black 1TB

Cooling: CM JetFlo 120 Blue LED, (i want to give my pc some blue tints), BeQuiet Dark Rock 3, i might get watercooling but i still dont know

 

This PC will mostly be used for gaming. However, it will also be used for Cinema 4D, Photoshop, Video Editing.

My budget is around $1400 USD

 

I hope you guys can give me some tips,

Humm if you are going for video editing and photoshop. i suggest you pick the i7 4790k .. For the cooling. An hiper 212 evo would do the trick. If you want. An h80i is a good AIO water cooling solution too.

Like what he said, get an i7 for hyper-threading; which could be helpful for video editing and such.

Since you plan on using Cinema 4D I suggest that you will pick i7. I used that program for some time and it really likes hyperthreading.

I tried also to make it look nice. If you dont care about looks you can go with cheaper RAM and case which will save you around $70

I'd strongly suggest you upgrade to an i7 so you can have better performance, they are a lot cheaper than a few years ago so it shouldn't add too much to your budget.
