Anyone Else ever do some "therapeutic" Shopping?

I've been in the market for a tablet recently (Was kinda leaning towards iPad/iPad Mini with Retina) but never really felt strongly enough to drain a hole in my wallet to buy one, then after having a pretty lame day today I saw an article saying the Nvidia Shield Tablet just started shipping to the US and Canada yesterday, and just thinking about the possibilities cheered me up instantly and I ordered one.  

 

Anyone else have tales of doing some impulse buys to cheer themselves up?

I purchased new headphonesafter my active noise cancelling ones broke with the worst timing possible... There was a trade-in deal at one shop where they offered 10USD off on a new pair... Traded the old cans in, without hesitation, and got the new ones... What's best about it is that the sound profile of the new ones are exactly the same as the ones that I traded in...

Last I checked (Wikipedia 3 seconds ago) therapeutic shopping was " therapeutic shopping AKA Retail therapy is shopping with the primary purpose of improving the buyer's mood or disposition." which is exactly what I did :P Bought the shield tablet to cheer myself up!

Aha I see... after reading your location I might actually be scared to hear what Therapeutic shopping is in Japan.. haha. But actually, I'm curious! What does it mean in Japan?

Well, when I got a hamburger today, I splurged and got two patties instead of one AND I got a drink, but no fries, don't want to be crazy now. Aaahhhh the joys of being in college and taking un-subsidized summer classes ;_;

I usually do that on Steam. Check whatever is on sale and I'm vaguely interested in, buy it and never play it.

I try not to because it's unhealthy behavior and you oft spend money you shouldn't on things you don't need

That's why there is icecream  Indeed buying clothing, parts, food when I'm depressed. It's not helping but ohwell unboxing new stuff makes me a little feel better :P

Bye LTT. That was an interesting journey on this board. At least here you see how not to do it. I'll go shaking my head about this place.
