The 850W G2 was one of the only PSUs I've ever seen JohnnyGuru give a 9.9 out of 10.  That was the 850 version, but I'm sure the quality is the same.  I'd go with the G2..  Corsair is for hipsters anyway.  I like Corsair lol, but they're kinda getting a fanboy thing about them.

AX1500i, mainly because of corsair link and 80+ titanium, also looks much nicer

They are both very good psu's. They are both very long 220mm so make sure you have room in the case  :) Either is a good choice.

Corsair doesnt make PSU's either..   There's only like 3 companies that actually make them.. most are by Seasonic or a couple others.

The cheapest. The designs for both of them come from reputable PSU manufacturers (not Corsair/EVGA, but the actual makers), and the whole series of PSUs got good reviews from JohnnyGuru.

 

Unless the efficiency of the Corsair one is worth the extra $100 over the EVGA one, there's not much reason to prefer it.

I am aware of that. There is actually 5 oems who have manufactured for Corsair. Seasonic, Chicony power, Flextronics, CWT and Great wall.

You didn't know this? This has been going on for decades.

Corsair (and other brands like Antec, XFX, Cooler Master, etc) don't make the PSU. They get another company (SeaSonic, Channel Well Technology, etc) to make it for them. Then they just basically slap their logo on it.

One of the exceptions (there's a few more) is...well...SeaSonic.
