EVGA or Asus 780ti?

PapaSimmz

EVGA

best warranty service

one of the better coolers for the EVGA ACX models

if you pick Classy, you can OC much more than the Asus model

EVGA for their warranty and support. The cooler is quieter than ASUS's one too I believe.

The EVGA GTX 780 Classified is the very best GTX 780 available and EVGA has the very best customer service as well.  The GTX 780Ti Classified Kingpin Edition is the very best single GPU video card on the market today.  Period.

780 = ASUS > EVGA

780Ti = EVGA > ASUS

There are a lot of reviews out there that show the differences. EVGA has a better warranty and out-of-the-box overclock but for a regular 780 ASUS has better cooling and overclock potential. For whatever reason EVGA has better cooling and potential on the TI version.

If you are dead set on a Ti, get the EVGA model. I would suggest you save some money and buy the regular 780 though, you can SLI it in the future for not much more than the cost of a single Ti and get much more performance.

What makes kingpin better?

the kingpin is for off the ball extreme OC up to crazy speeds

but you will need to use Liquid nitrogen to achieve 2GHz core clock

I do use 2 EVGA GTX 780Ti in SLI and couldn´t be happier.

Both Asus and EVGA are really good suppliers! And even though I use lots of stuff from Asus, I prefer EVGA for GPUs because of their superior customer service.

EVGA are the only one where you get still warranty on the card even if you put a water cooling heatsink on it  and had a failure. As long as you built the original cooler back on you can RMA it. Besides that they´ve got their step up program.

What makes kingpin better?

The KPE has higher overall overclocking potential under LN2.  Being built from the ground up for extreme overclocking does have its advantages under more mundane cooling scenarios like water or even air however and like the Classified you have access to basically unlimited software voltage...
