Audioengine A2+ Subwoofer

Ghost

Hey,

I recently purchased the A2+ s and I really like sound of the mids and highs. They are very detailed speakers and look amazing. However, they do leave something to be desired in the lows. Hence, my question. What sub should I get for the A2+ s. When reading around a lot of people were recommending £300 subs and thats really not what I'm looking for. I just want a sub that compliments the A2+s. The A8 is out of the question due to it's price.

I temporarily stole the sub from a set of Z523s and it improved the sound quite a lot, and the Z523 only cost £70 for the entire set-up. Surely there is a reasonably priced sub out there.

Any recommendations?

Thanks

Jbl and velodyne make quality thumpy subs. Polk will make for a better match.

They all seem to be priced at £200 and up in the UK. Which is my issue. Is it normal to pay more for your subwoofer than the speakers?

What I meant was, I threw in a 10 inch sub and the cheapest amp I could find, and I have to keep the volume pretty low on the amp.
