2x AMD 295x2 Benchmarks

klotza1

A little while ago i posted on Linus' video about seeing two of the 295x2 cards in crossfire and just how it could scale using a 4x Hawaii setup in games.

Well, it looks to achieve around 60fps for pc gamers at 4k resolutions in crysis 3. Also it seems to scale up to 4 gpu's very well.

So, the total msrp at launch is 1500 dollars, to get the best experience you need two for a total of $3000.

The new Nvidia "Titan Z" will cost exactly this much, but i'm curious to know if it could perform in comparison.

and how about 4 780ti's?

Exactly, that's really the only reason i bothered to post anything. Have we not seen fairly poor 4 way SLI scaling? From what I've seen its been essentially negligible to have anything past the 3rd card as the benefits just aren't there. But here, we see performance practically double.

that is some excelent scaling! the extra card adds about 71% performance,

Scaling isn't bad in many games for 4 cards, most AAA titles have good scaling:

I feel like scaling is much better at higher resolutions than lower ones though

In case anybody's interested, Tom's Hardware did some benchmarks of this too: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-r9-295x2-crossfire-performance,3808.html

Amusing little quote from the conclusion section xD :

At least right now, at 3840x2160, they’re like a three-year-old in Target. When you’re lucky, they’re little angels, boosting performance some (but not much). Other times, they have you questioning some of your life decisions.

well, until nVidia start or even consider Making a Dual GTX780Ti Card ,the 790 perhaps, the R9-295x2 is the best dual GPU Solution out there, specially with the great Cooling Solution   ,For now,

i know there is 2x780Ti SLi ,but since this new guy with 2x 290 GPU perform better then two 290s in CrossFire ,why wouldn't an nVidia Dual 780Ti's do the same

I wonder how my GPU config compares 3x 780? Hmm can't wait for my blocks to come in and give it a go.
