Damn son, this is a really good move. May be an attempt to grab console players moving to the next gen from the PS3 and Xbox360 to the PC, they no longer have a reason to scream 'But gaming PCs cost $2000!'

Nope.

Edit: Grammar

Yeah, it was a total "holy hell" moment when I saw that price, I think I might grab one :D .

& you can get an unlocked 6 core for 112$, that's seriously an astonishing deal !

I am still on a 1090T, so hopefully they will also slash the prices over here although i could order from Amazon using the site you recommended, WorldShip. The price change hasn't occured yet on Amazon, Newegg, NCIX etc, so i'll have to see. At the moment, i would have to pay $28.76 for shipping if i was to order the CPU with the new price of $153, the total price is more expensive then the current price of $179.

These are not retail prices:

This listing reflects pricing for direct AMD customers in 1000-unit tray quantities, except when designated as PIB quantities.

Hey, if I were to buy any AMD cpu right now what would it be for best performance? Price from between £120 - £250.

then overclock it in the bios with the core multiplier. thats what an 8350 is. just a higher clocked 8320

The FX 8350 is a higher binned chip & will overclock slightly better than the FX 8320.

The FX 8320 is still my favorite though, it offers insane performance for the price.

So when will the consumers see the difference? I know these are not retail prices, but those prices would naturally decrease too I suppose?

FX6300 $5 more than FX4300 and it it $165NZD down from $210 what a steal for all that performance. :) I got my 8120 for $180 lat year, still waiting for Steamroller unless there is a price drop in 8350 as well.  PS. also a $40 drop in FX8320 here too.

True, FX 6300 currently costs about 116$ so theoretically AMD can make 12 cores for 232$ ! O_O

or 24 core for $464   ME WANT IT!
