Receivers.

So my father gave me his old surround system with this "box" where we used to connect all of the cables
I know how it works but I have no idea what its called
I want one of those but with HDMI, so if someone knows one that is cheap and does the deed please link it as well

Thank you.

I always thought recievers were just for TV sat and stuff

I have a hard time finding what I want though

and If I find one they are over 200€

do you know anyones that arent too expensive? it doesnt need to me that high end

@Aetohatir

I have a super old Kenwood receiver that's been around since before I was born (90's) and it still works perfectly. So I would recommend Kenwood any day. You can probably find a used one that still works because these things are built like tanks.

The Problem is that I don't want to use an analogue input/output

I want to use HDMI the reciever I photographed also works perfectly fine

Those are gonna be rather expensive new. If you look on Amazon, just search 'receiver HDMI' and some from Yamaha, Sony and Pioneer should show up. I would go with Pioneer if Kenwood doesn't currently make those.

Looks like an amplifier. Says receiver on it though. I guess the composite switching thingy is the difference.

I cannot be held responsible for any bad advice given.

I've no idea why the world is afraid of 3D-printed guns when clearly 3D-printed crossbows would be more practical for now.

My rig: The StealthRay. Plans for a newer, better version of its mufflers are already being made.

As long as you do not put massive strain on an amplifier, like more than it is intended to be used for, it will last a long time. You just have to make sure that the audio doesn't clip. I did a lot for the Techie group at our school and we needed to make sure nothing was clipping. Clipping is the cause of distortion and will dramatically decrease the life of an amplifier.

Hope this helps. :)

"Have you tried turning it off and on again?"
