Right tower speaker volume very low

Sharif
Go to solution Solved by Sharif,

This was the solution my sound card was connected with a single 3.5mm jack to RCA cable with video

and it affected everything but after changing the cable,it was solved :)

Right tower speaker volume very low  and the left speaker has the built in amplifier and the wiring is okay, source as well and its same with everything my pc to satellite receiver

so i know its the speakers

What could be the problem?

How is it connected? Speaker wire or like PC speakers with wire pre-attached?

It could be that the wire got pulled loose and isn't making proper contact to the speaker.

Or if it's speaker wire, maybe you reversed the polarity by accident putting the positive on one end and negative to the other. (ie put black wire to red post/red wire to black post, instead of red to red/black to black).

If possible, try switching the speakers. Hook the left speaker to the right channel and vise versa and see if the problem follows the speaker or the channel.

Also, are these new or old? It could be that it's dead out of the box or if they're old maybe something just stopped functioning properly due to use/age.

As said above, usually things like that are caused by stuff just not plugged in correctly. I would suggest checking the plugs.

If it's not that, it's probably your software. There's an option somewhere in my computer, at least, that lets me balance the right/left speakers to aid people who're deaf in one ear.

Maybe check those out?

4+ years old,the the speaker with the problem is connected via those 2 wires in a red and black jack

i checked all the wiring so...i don't think that could be the issue and i will see if the polarity is right but this happened after i switched extensions cords because the previous one had a buzzing noise

Update its the speaker who is doing it,if i connect  2 source, one of the channels stop working maybe its the splitter (going deep inside troubleshooting land)
