Water Cooling Compatibility

Go to solution Solved by Enderman,

Can you recommend any specific single radiator water cooler from Corsair?

H75

H80i if you want a bit of extra performance and want to use Corsair Link

I have a pretty good build, only problem is that I have a stock CPU cooler, which (obviously) sounds like a lawnmower running over a stack of babies when it's under medium load. I've gathered enough money for a water cooling solution and I've been thinking about getting one from Corsair, one in particular is the H60. Problem is, that I don't know if it'll fit in my case, I'll just list off the specs and you guys can tell me if ANY Corsair water cooler can fit.

Case: Corsair SPEC-02

Motherboard: Asus M5A99X EVO

RAM: Corasir Vengeance High Profile 2X4 (8GB) 1866Mhz

GPU: Sapphire R9 280X Toxic Tri-X Factory Overclocked

CPU Cooler: Stock

CPU: AMD FX-8320

Those are the main things I have, I also have 1 fan in the back, 2 in the front, and I'm planning on mounting the water cooler on the top.

How about in the top? Because I already have a fan in the rear, dunno if you read that, but oh well xD

It doesn't say there is support for one at the top, most likely it would interfere with your motherboard vrm heatsinks.

The radiator will replace the fan you have on the back because it comes with its own fan too.

Honestly, the only one worth it is the H80i from Corsair. Other brands also have decent 120mm AiOs, The NZXT X31 is well priced and has a variable speed pump, which basically means you will not have an annoying loud system. The Seidon 120XL from Cooler Master has a thick rad that cools CPUs well.

I'm not really going for like over $100 on one of these things, my main price range is from $50 to $85 or a little more.

Looking at this video, i don't think theres room for a 240mm rad in the roof.

What about the stock fans on the H80i? I heard they're terrible. Are they?

All I mentioned are well under $100.

The X31 is under $75, The Seidon 120XL under $80 and H80i around $90. I'd pick the X31, the variable speed pump makes a noticeable difference in noise.

The Included fan is not terrible, it's just not the best fan out there performance-wise and it's on the loudish side, but it's tolerable. You can always change it down the road.

I think I could spend some extra money on changing them, any good ones that I could replace them with?

Depends on the budget, but It's hard not to recommend Noctua, Noiseblocker or Gentle Typhoons.
