Need help with My GPU, getting FPS drops!

I just recently upgraded my GPU to a Zotac gtx 1080 mini from a 1050ti. I was expecting to just fit my new GPU and be able to play all the newest games on high/ultra quality, but I get FPS drops every now and again playing these new games (battlefield 5 e.c.t) even on the LOWEST settings, I'm not the most computer savy person alive, hence why i'm posting here for help lol. I'm pretty sure I don't have a bottle neck because I ran my components through a website and they were all compatible, but here's my Specs atm. My Disk (C:) on the task manager jumps to 100% as well even when i'm not gaming, but when I'm gaming it's at 100% a lot of the time. Any help will be appreciated, wanna get this fixed asap!

(I've just bought 16bg of ram as well which is currently shipping to me).

-Intel Core i7 6700 @ 3.40GHz
Skylake 14nm Technology

- NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 (ZOTAC International)

-Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H110M-S2H-CF- Mobo

-8.00GB Dual-Channel RAM (I've just bought 16bg of ram as well which is currently shipping to me).

-931GB Seagate ST310005 28AS SCSI Disk Device (SATA )

the 6700 bottlenecks you in bfv, check cpu usage also ram could be an issue too

My little nephew had micro stuttering on fortnite with an i3 3240 and a 1050. The HDD was 100% all the time (it was second hand HDD), so i gave him an SSD and now he doesnt have any stuttering at all.

I dont think your i7 6 gen would cause any problems with your GPU.

A faster hard drive or ssd would probably get rid of those problems altogether, If you have the money and a large games library then I would suggest the toshiba x300 for around $100, if not then there are plenty of cheap 240-512gb ssd's that are going for great prices as well.

8086k Winner BABY!!

How is the 6700 bottlnecking? All my components are compatible, can you explain a little further please :)? My CPU usage when i'm in game is like 90% tbf.

What is TBF? Battlefield? Check to see if one core is 100%. Battlefield games are also known for heavy CPU usage.

Here with my 4770 and 1080Ti and the games I play do not bottleneck or use the CPU 100%.
