2080 ti xc ultra vs ftw3

Is the custome pcb really worth it for the ftw3? I can buy a xc ultra for 1400 on new egg, but if i wait for the ftw3 to go back in stock i can get it at the same price. Not sure if i should wait and risk not being able to get either or pull the trigger on xc ultra now. From what ive seen the ftw3 runs about 8° cooler

Some people think the reference pcb is what is causing the 2080ti failures so if that's the case then yes. That being said the other card is still a great card.

depends on the price difference, 200 for a custom pcb? maybe, when i bought  mine there was a 400usd difference, at that point it's an easy call, the problems with the reference pcb likely has been solved, so far it's just the first batch, and the problems were not as wide spread as first believed.

It looks like my patience payed off! I was able to purchase a ftw3 directly from evga!
