Can I overclock my CPU and graphics card ?

System specs:

ASUS H110M-CS motherboard(mini ATX)

I7 6700k with Cooler Master Hyper 212 LED

Gtx 1070 ti - 8 pin+6 pin power connectors

8GB X 2 Corsair Vengeance 2400 MHz(not in dual channel, mb doesn't support it)

600W PSU 80+ silver from Njoy

Use case for system: mainly gaming

 

Some of the information about my specs may seem useless but I wanted to include more information that might matter since I've never dealt with overclocking. I know I bought a CPU that is meant for those that want to overclock it and should know a thing or two about it, i just figured it would be a great way to not have to upgrade very often by overclocking it down the line so it would last me a while longer.

 

My basic question here is if I can overclock this system, both CPU and graphics card using the MB I have right now. I know that the MB isn't all that, honestly it's the cheapest part of my computer, excluding the fans and case.

 

I suppose I should also give more information about the temps I usually have. With my user defined fan curve for both the CPU and graphics card the cpu idles at 33 C and the graphics card at 50 C, while in gaming the CPU reaches 55-65 C while not being 100% and 70 C at 100% utilisation. My graphics card on the other hand sits snugly at 60-65 C while at full load. It gets a little noisy but I don't mind the sound if that means my temps are as low as they can get.

You can overclock the GPU, but not the CPU because the motherboard's chipset doesnt allow it

Alright, so, can you recommend me a mid range MB that I could get that would be suited for overclocking? I'm thinking of buying an ATX MB with 4 RAM slots but the cheapest i could find starts at $100. Can I buy some of the cheaper models ? Or should I go up by another hundred $ ?

I live in Eastern Europe, just imagine everything is priced about $70 to $100 more here in terms of pc parts. But feel free to offer anything you think is suited, I'll raise money for it if need be and I won't say no to a kind and free advice.

aww, just asking because I found some really interesting and appealing boards under heavy discount. These were $400+ boards, now selling for $80 to $130 just because they don't support (officially) 8th and 9th gen CPUs.

well, i think the this one would be best. it's like the amazon for pc parts of my country

you see how your Motherboard is an H110 thats your chipset, you NEED a board that is a Z170 or Z270 in order to be able to overclock the 6700k, I do not know what board pricing in like in your country, but those are the chipsets that will allow overclocking of that CPU.

 

the Z270 is newer so will likely be easier to find, you may have to go to the used market to get under a $100 though depending on what your pricing is like over there.
