You can't really ask that and get a decent answer. You need to try them out yourself. I suggest ordering a switch testing kit.

I researched which switch type would be best for me for many, many hours. I watched videos. Made posts. I decided that I'd like Blues most, then Browns, and that I would hate Reds. What ended up happening? I can't stand Blues. I hate them with a passion. Used the keyboard for 15 minutes and sold it the next day. Browns feel like mushy garbage to me. I actually like Reds the most, aside from perhaps Blacks which are hard to find. I'm now looking at buying a keyboard with low profile keys and Silver switches.

Nothing anyone will tell you is of any use. You have to try them out yourself.

Your fingers know best. The best way to know which key switch type to buy is always to type on one.

I myself prefer Blues because I like that tactile bump and noises (so reassuring to know that click activates :D). I hate Reds and straight (non-tactile) switches as a whole because I can't stop myself from pressing them extra hard to make sure I trigger all of my typing, which is tiring. I don't mind using Browns, they just aren't as attractive as Blues to me.

I'm sure you can try it out in display shops.

and if you just want to try Mechanical Switch, better buy some ultra cheap one for like $18

It's completely different from person to person. As I said, you have to try it yourself.

Very true. The switch tester is also just great to have around as a distraction to fiddle with.

Definitely need to try for yourself. https://www.amazon.com/WASD-6-Key-Cherry-Switch-Tester/dp/B00AZQKCD4/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1542837586&sr=8-5&keywords=switch+tester

Or if you want to branch out and try something other than Cherry https://novelkeys.xyz/collections/switch-testers you can customize the tester with hundreds of different switch options.

like everyone said, you really need to try them out in person to decide 'which one is best' for you.

I prefer tactile clicky so most of my keyboards use Cherry MX blue switches (I have 1 with browns that is acceptable but I always end up missing the click from blues if I use that one).

Moreover, there are a few other types - like Logitech Romer G switches which have a unique feel if you compare them side by side with a cherry-style switch.

A few months ago I picked up a Razer Huntsman Elite to try out the "opto-mechanical" switch (laser actuated, but has mechanical parts like a Cherry MX blue, lower actuation force required however) and this is my new favorite keyboard to type on.
