How well will this CPU + GPU be together?

XR6

Hi,

I'm thinking of upgrading my system to Ryzen and I'm looking at the R5 1600/R7 1700 atm.

Would it work well with a GTX 980 (both non-Ti and Ti)?

I'll be watching movies and playing games in 1080p (possibly gaming in 1440p) and using FL studio.

I'll be playing games like beamNG.drive, Forza Horizon 3/4, Flight Sim X, ETS 2 and ATS.

That's pretty good, I have a Ryzen 5 1600 paired with a GTX 780.

The 980Ti will be the better choice for 1440p gaming, but both will hold up just fine at 1080p.

Okay, thank you! My friend has a R5 1600 paired with a 970 and he's spoken highly of that setup so hopefully this will go well! :)

Yep, my R5 1600 is with a 980 Ti rn (originally was running with a 1080 but I pulled that to put in another rig for SLI), it's fine for 1080p and should be bueno for 1440p.
