Trying to build a pc here soon with amd parts. Heard the ryzen is good for streaming, and my 144hz monitor is freesync, so gpu also needs to be amd.

Only issue for me is that it's been like 4 years since I've built my own comp, helped some friends build theirs but I dont know what to get honestly

Budget is 2000$ CAD

If possible I want it to look like a sexy beast, red and black or red and white

or what ever color combinations you guys think look good

thanks in advance boys

And that's $500 over his budget. The budget is in CAD not USD.

The 2080 is $1100 CAD alone and the memory is almost double the cost as well.

Switch the cooler to a noctua nh-d15 or dark rock pro4, I would switch the mobo to an asrock x470 master, and change the case to a fractal design meshify c.

So I'm seeing alot of you just ditching the amd gpu,

is freesync worth going amd, or should I just ditch it and go nvidia anyways?

otherwise you guys are helping me out alot, thanks!!

An AMD gpu is fine but you want a good version of it. The Sapphire Nitro is probably the best, but it costs about $100 more than the Asus on pcpartpicker.

If you switch to Nvidia and G-Sync then that is going to be costly.
