Huh?

If you're adding 2 8GB sticks together, you get 16GB. How are you going to get 12GB per channel? 12GB sticks don't exist.

You really need to rethink the wording of your post.

He has 8gb dual channel right now (so 2x 4gb) and he wants to buy 2x 8gb more, so 4+4+8+8. Because he has a z370 motherboard, he has an intel consumer cpu, so it means it is limited to dual channel, even thought it has 4 memory slots.

So he asks if he can have 4+8gb of ram per channel. so 4+8 + 4+8.

I think that the computer will boot up and recognizes the ram, but i dont know about the ram channels.

I only see your reply if you @ me.

Can you do this? Yes

Will you be running in dual channel? No

For best stability, have your 4GB sticks in one channel and the 8GB in the other (i.e. 8GB then 4GB then 8GB then 4GB).

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...
