GTX 1060 vs 970

my friend ask me if i can trade my gtx 1060 6gb (palit super jetstream) which i bought for like $210 to his gtx 970 (zotac dual fan) and add $100 

would i accept his offer or not?

That being said, it's only around 10% faster and you're getting an additional $100, so trade with him IMO.

Your 1060 is a much faster card when it comes to raw performance.

Is the 100$ going to be of any use?

yes= do the trade gaming wise they perform about the same as the 970 can overclock well.

no= then not worth the hassle.

No the performance with your card is much better. Only trade if he offers over $200 USD as that's a fair trade price then turn around and sell the 970 for $100-$150 USD and take that $300-$350 USD and buy a 1070 or better.
