Its what im planning too do but a little longer than that down the road. Pretty much when it loses its 'fastest gpu on the planet' title to maxwell.

In the grim darkness of the far future, there is only a GTX 1080, just a single 1080, where my glorious PC once stood....

well, a single 780ti is powerful enough...

 

but if you got the money, then why not go for SLI :D
