Hey guys,

So I am going to be building a computer for one of my friends and I want to know what is the best build for $1500 I can get? Now we don't have a set plan on which type of processor we will be using so I want builds with Intel and AMD. This computer is going to be meant to do some hardcore gaming and some intense interweb browser.

Thanks,

   Retro

What kind of dollars are we talking about here?

IS a copy of Windows or any peripherals needed?

Really?

It's not the fastest of days... Anyway, here's an AMD alternative. The PSU is overkill... Really overkill, but yeah

Why not choose an 8320 or 8350? Or at least an FM2+ chip...

And pay double for them? The A10 is still fine for everything... More than fine... Then again, it is a bit confused, I was originally going with a 290, but changed to a 290x... It should be the same gaming performance whether I went with an 8320/8350 or the APU really since most games are all on the GPU anyway

Well it never hurts to future proof a bit and it could matter more in other applications besides gaming, and something like a 6300 would be better and around the same price. If he did want to get an APU it would probably be better to wait for Kaveri.
