Can I boot a nvme m.2 ssd with my msi z370 gaming plus board

Dizzit

So I bought a Corsair mp300 240gb nvme m.2 sdd for my build. Is it possible to boot from this drive in the sata m.2 slot or if i add a pcie m.2 adapter would it be able to boot from there?

Why wouldn't that board have an M.2 slot that's wired for PCI-e? Or is it already taken?

Don't know why it wouldn't be able to boot from an M.2 slot, an adapter is unnecessary, but it still just functions as a storage device.

I edit my posts a lot, Twitter is @LordStreetguru just don't ask PC questions there mostly...

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

Your board has a PCIe M.2 slot above the first PCIe slot. The slot is compatible with both SATA and PCIe (NVMe) drives.
