is 29” a good size for ultra wides?

Olli_

Hi,

i have ordered a lg 29” ultra wide monitor however i am having doubts. I was just wondering if 29” is a good size for a 1080p ultra wide I have heard that people find them to small as in the height of the monitor. Should I have just gotten a 16;9 27 inch monitor instead? What do people think?

Thanks

2560x1080p ultrawides are supposed to be on the 29inch size, as that offers the best pixel density ratio.

34 inch with just 2560x1080p will look pixelated and quite bad as this screen size does require 3440x1440p resolution to looks good.

So long story short 29inch 2560x1080p are perfectly fine and I'd get one over any 1920x1080p monitor any day as 21:9 aspect ratio is so absurdly superior however I'd not get a 34'' 2560x1080p ever due to bad pixelation.

On the matter, 29inch ultrawides have the height of a 24 inch common 16:9, which personally speaking is as far as it goes with 1080p actually still looking good any ways so you'll be fine by all means, remember RESOLUTION means virtual space not screen size.

27 inches is a 2560x1440p resolution in order to keep image quality.

You will love it, or hate it.

I hated it and returned it within 5minutes of setting it up. It just felt like looking through a letter box to me.

Be interested to see what you think, and I hope it works out for you (I was only gaming on it).

21:9 isn't superior lol. I would choose 16:9 every single time. If I wanted more screen realistate I would simply get another 16:9 monitor.

It's my preferred screen ratio so yeah I do. The only thing funny here is that you think ultrawide is superior. You can like it more because that's your opinion but to say it's superior is a straight lie.
