Cheap ryzen parts?

Hello!

 

I'm building a new pc, and I think I should get an ryzen cpu.

I was thinking about getting a ryzen 3 1200.

I don't know what mobo I should get, I just want a cheap one, I wont be doing any overclocking.

As for ram, is it worth to buy used ddr4 ram if there even is a thing?

Even if you aren't doing overclocking, don't get an A320 board. They're made extremely cheaply and are generally quite terrible. A cheap B350 board will be better than any A320 board (plus you'll get XFR, a nice bonus)

 

Used DDR4 would be fine if you could get your hands on it, but for the current state of the market, it doesn't seem to be much cheaper really.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

 

How many watts do I need? ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explained, group reg is bad

Do you have a graphics card? Otherwise you'll need the APU like the 2200G because Ryzen CPUs do not have integrated graphics.

then the get the 1200 if it's 80% the price of the 2200G. The problem is that 2200G has the same CPU performance as the 1200, but has capable iGPU for basic games. This hurts 1200 and 1300x resale value a lot, so if you don't want a CPU that depreciates like a Merc or BMW it's best to avoid the 1200 and 1300x

I've just took a loot at the ram prices...

Guess I'll be getting only 4gbs or ram for now, or else I'll be over budget (around $450)
