What should i upgrade?

Mathes

Im looking to upgrade my computer for gaming/streaming purposes. The budget is not a problem but keep it realistic. Im also not going to add water cooling.

Is that not good enough? From what I can see you've got a 6600k and 1080, which should be fine for streaming.

it's time

Why do you have a GTX 1080 for only a 1080p 144hz display? Kind of overkill.

Just buy an R7 2700 if your budget is lower

Or buy the 12 core 1920X if your budget is higher than like $500

Spoiler

What is your budget/country for your new PC?

what monitor resolution/refresh rate?

What games or other software do you need to run?

I7 7700k off eBay

I WILL find your ITX build thread, and I WILL recommend the SIlverstone Sugo SG13B

Primary PC:

i7 8086k - EVGA Z370 Classified K - G.Skill Trident Z RGB - WD SN750 - Jedi Order Titan Xp - Hyper 212 Black (with RGB Riing flair) - EVGA G3 650W - dual booting Windows 10 and Linux - Black and green theme, Razer brainwashed me.

Draws 400 watts under max load, for reference.

How many watts do I needATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 spec, PSU misconceptions, protections explainedgroup reg is bad

The i5 6600K is overclocked? maybe a second hand i7 7700K? it's balanced as it is, you won't get noticeable performance without spending a good dime.

You can't upgrade your CPU much on that platform because intel said so. You'd be paying a bunch to basically unlock hyper threading.

Best bet is replacing it with a Ryzen 8 core for streaming, especially for the money.

You could get a 6 core R5 1600 or 2600 + motherboard for the price of a 7700K

More Cores is more Fun, I can load up my 1950X if I'm trying to do 4K 60fps recording.

It's better for streaming since you can bump up the CPU preset/encoding in OBS to get a higher quality at a lower bit rate, but you start getting into diminishing returns past the 12 core. It's basically like having 2 R5 1600s in the same system.

But it's way more expensive than the Ryzen 7 CPU which will do just fine at around the Very Fast CPU Preset.

And you'd have to find a Silver Arrow TR4 for sale, as it's the best overall TR4 cooler.

You can just overclock the R7 2700 given the price difference.

Any of the X470 boards are functional.

If you want total overkill for extreme overclocking as well go for it I suppose

but the cheaper STRIX board will be just fine and uses the same VRM I believe.
