What to do with old HDDs?

Hi there, I have a few HGST 500G and Barracuda 80G, I install SSD on all my devices and do not have any data to store. What should I do with these slow HDDs? 2.5 HDD is quite convenient as you can just hook it up with a USB and use it as a portable hard drive. But 3.5 HDD is a lot more hassle as it requires external power. Any good way to use the 3.5 HDDs?

NAS is the only thing that comes to mind unless you want to just flip them for a small amound of money

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

4 options:

Stress test them till they quit.

Put them into a back up computer.

Take them apart and "Frankenstein" a new drive from the best parts of each.

Store them for later to be used as backup.
