Should i buy a used graphics card?

Rozga123

I got an offer for an Asus Strix gtx 1070 8gb for a good price. It's been used for 2 years for gaming and has a waranty for one more year.Should i buy it? Will the performance be the same as a new card?

I'll just point you to a video Linus and Co. published a while ago:

This is really up to personal preferences, I personally have no problems buying used GPUs, but others won't buy used even if it comes with a manufacturer's warranty and will always buy new.

If you're ok with the risk of buying used, then go ahead. Thing is, buying new with a warranty doesn't eliminate potential issues (look at the 2080ti's early deaths).

The question is, how much cheaper is it than new? If its marginal then just go new, if it is significant then sure, go right ahead.

PS the only new card ive ever owned was a Vega 64 that exploded,
