RTX 2050 ti

I was doing some research on the new cards from nvidia specifically in to the 2050ti considering that's what would be in my price range and i was just wondering if anyone had any idea of a potential release date, prices or just some performance stats.

There is no such thing as RTX 2050 Ti.

The naming would be GTX not RTX as the 2070 is the cheapest card with ray tracing everyting below will be a regular GPU, so no need to go for a GTX 2050TI as you can get a GTX1060 for the same price if nvidea keeps it up with their pricing.

no solid info so far. we dont really know what to expect from it. one can say its a tier higher in performance, but we dont know.

 

might aswell buy gtx 1060 for the time being

I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a 2050 ti might be a over a year away, buy a 1060 6gb or a 1070ti which ever you can afford they are the best bang for buck atm (depending where you are)

Only reason I understand you wanting to wait is due to low power supply.  If you have a dell optiplex or similar an no extra 6/8 pin connectors or under a 400 watt psu. And in that case I suggest looking for a 1650 or 560 depending if you prefer team green or red.

My son chose the gtx1650 and is really happy with its performance. If you do have enough power from your psu and the needed slots and connectors I strongly recommend either a 590 or 5700 from amd or go with a 2060/70 Super.

Remember the more gddr5 the better along with clock speeds ?

the rtx 2050ti wouldnt even be worth it. it couldnt do raytracing even at 1080p unless you lower the settings so much xD 

If you really want raytracing go for the 2060 super. if you really want a good card go for something like a 1660/1660ti

The 2050ti will never exist, there are already lower end turing products on the market like the 1660ti, 1660 and 1650. That article was posted in january, even before the launch of the 1660 ti
